San Mateo, CA – Ron Segura, president of Segura Associates, a consulting firm for contract cleaning companies as well as building managers in North and South America, has been asked to be one of the keynote speakers at a two-day Facilities Management Workshop to be held at the Guyana Marriott Hotel, October 30 and 31, 2019.

The hotel is located in Georgetown, Guyana, considered one of the country’s premier luxury hotels.

The theme of the event is: “Leveraging FM to Maximize Productivity, Efficiency & ROI,” and is supported by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Guyana.

According to Segura, the workshop is designed to help government agencies and local businesses improve worker productivity, efficiency, and their return on investment (ROI) through more effective facility management.

“The gist of my presentation will be about green cleaning,” says Segura. “While green cleaning is nothing new in North America, in parts of Central and South America, it is still in its beginning stages. However, contractors and facility managers down there are itching to get on the green cleaning bandwagon.”

Segura adds that along with discussing green cleaning and green cleaning procedures, a great deal of his presentation will also cover new cleaning technologies. This includes robots, artificial intelligence, and IoT (internet of things) products and equipment, all designed to improve worker productivity, lower cleaning costs, and improve efficiencies.

“These topics are of great interest, especially among cleaning contractors in Central and South America,” according to Segura. “Some larger contractors have even developed their own software programs to help bring their companies and cleaning services up-to-date with what is happening in North America and Europe.”

This is one of several facility management and cleaning-related conferences planned in Central and South America, according to Segura, and that “they seem to be increasing every year.”
