San Mateo, CA. – Ron Segura, head of Segura & Associates, a janitorial consulting firm based in the U.S., will be the key presenter at two upcoming events for the professional cleaning industry in Peru and Brazil.
The Peru event will be held in Lima on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. This is part of ISSA’s Latin America Education & Certification Summit
The meeting in Brazil will be held in Sao Paulo on August 9, 2017, at the International Congress of the Professional Cleaning Market.
According to Segura, the event in Peru is a workshop focusing on ways cleaning contractors can convince their customers and their staff on the importance of adopting Green Cleaning strategies.
“The North American cleaning industry now recognizes the benefits of being able to provide a green cleaning program to its customers,” says Segura. “In other parts of the world, this is still evolving, even though many [Latin American] cleaning contractors fully support green cleaning initiatives.”
Some of the items that will be covered in the Peru workshop include the following:
- How to introduce a green cleaning program to customers
- What types of customers are most likely to adopt a green cleaning program
- Ways to get cleaning workers behind green cleaning
- Clarifying performance and cost issues regarding environmentally preferable cleaning products
- How to market green cleaning to prospects.
In Brazil
The Brazil conference will focus more on business issues and how customers in Latin America are changing and becoming more knowledgeable about the professional cleaning industry than in years past.
Segura says what has been happening in many parts of Central and South America is that a new generation of professionals is taking over facility management positions.
“They look at business differently. Instead of the old customer/vendor relationship, they want partners they can work closely with to help keep their facilities clean, healthy, and operate efficiently. Cleaning contractors must adjust to doing business with this new generation.”
