San Mateo, CA – The Western Michigan Sustainable Business Forum is hosting a jansan-related educational event titled “Sustainable Cleaning Silicon Valley Style,” on Monday, May 8, 2017, in Grand Rapids.
The Forum is a 25-year-old organization made up of leaders in the business, government, nonprofit, and academic sectors, all dedicated to promoting business practices that demonstrate environmental stewardship.
The May program will feature industry leader, Ron Segura, who has over 45 years of experience in all segments of the cleaning industry, including a decade overseeing the cleaning of 4.5 million square feet for the Walt Disney Company.
Today, his consulting firm assists hundreds of organizations in the re-engineering of their operations so that they can provide a high quality of service and still meet budgetary requirements.
Also presenting will be Daniel H. Montes vice president of business operations and 
for Brilliant General Maintenance (BGM). Montes has been involved in the janitorial industry his entire life. He has received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and is an active member of the US Green Building Council and the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
BGM serves clients throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Michigan.
During the program, Segura and Montes will share their experiences creating and managing sustainable cleaning and maintenance programs for iconic technology and manufacturing brands in Silicon Valley and other markets in the Southwest and Michigan.
Segura will also discuss common challenges to implementing sustainability programs with janitorial contractors and departments and how to get buy-in from internal and external providers.
According to Segura, BGM is at the forefront of efforts to improve building maintenance through thoughtful process improvement and innovative technology deployment.
